Rule checked, AI proposed, Needs a person
Every row of your report is one WCAG criterion. Each row says how its value was set, in one of three tiers.
Rule checked
A rule set this row, either way. It ran on every captured state the criterion applies to and found no failures: Supports. Nobody judged anything. Or it found a failure: Does Not Support, wherever the failure turned up.
The review queue counts these rows at the top, Supports and Does Not Support alike. Accept all of them with one button.
AI proposed
A model read the evidence for the row and proposed a value with remarks. Proposals are accepted by default, except for one in five rows, picked at random: your sample. You open each row in the sample and accept or reject its proposal.
A proposal of Supports is never accepted by default. It waits for a person under Needs a person, with the proposal shown, and you accept it once you have opened its evidence.
Rejecting a proposal doubles the sample, and the row waits under Rejected for your value. Proposals outside the sample stay reviewable: choose Review anyway in the queue.
Needs a person
No rule or model can judge these criteria, such as Use of Color or Focus Order: the answer depends on a fact outside the page, such as what your product does or who uses it. A person decides them with the evidence open. A rule can still mark one Does Not Support when it finds a failure on it.
Decide a row
- Choose Open the queue on your product's Overview. The To decide tab lists the rows in your sample first, then the rows that need a person, then the proposals you rejected.
- Pick a row. The queue shows its captures and the findings on them. Choose Open the full evidence for every tab: Screenshot, Accessibility tree, Focus trace, Screen-reader transcript (virtual), Rule output and Journey.
- Under Conformance, choose Supports, Partially Supports, Does Not Support, Not Applicable or Not evaluated.
- Write the remarks. They are printed on the report beside the row.
- Choose Accept for a proposal, or Confirm for your own value. For a row in your sample or a proposal of Supports, Confirm unlocks once you have opened its evidence. Choose Reject the proposal to set the value yourself.
Accepting records your name and the date on the row. The row keeps its history: the proposal, each decision, and when you opened the evidence. The report and its exports say who set each row.
Keys in the queue
- J and K move to the next and previous row.
- 1 to 4 and N pick a conformance value.
- C accepts or confirms, and R rejects the proposal.
- F opens the capture full screen, and [ and ] move between findings on it.
