Publish and manage the public page

Each product has one permalink, /r/<company>/<product>. Its address never changes, and it never becomes a 404: whatever happens to the report or the plan, the page says so with the date.

Publish from Export

Export names the first requirement that needs you. Finish each one before publishing:

  1. Set every A and AA row so the report has a complete result table.
  2. Acknowledge the rule-checked rows.
  3. Open the evidence for every row in your sample.
  4. Add remarks to every Partially Supports and Does Not Support row. Every row a person set needs a remark of at least 20 characters.
  5. Re-record any task that has drifted, or remove it from scope, so the report uses current coverage.

Then choose Publish version on Export.

Before you publish

The page says your company hasn't published a report for this product yet, and that it will appear at this address. People who can edit the product can preview the draft there.

Published

Publish from your product's Export page. The permalink then shows the latest version:

  • whether it's an ACR or a preliminary evaluation, the WCAG edition and level, and who confirmed it;
  • every row with its result and how it was set;
  • downloads: the VPAT® as DOCX, OpenACR JSON, PDF and HTML;
  • the date its evidence expires;
  • the version history. An older version keeps its own address and says which version is latest.

The badge on the Public page screen shows the WCAG edition and the date, and links to the permalink.

When the evidence expires

A version's evidence expires twelve months after it's published. We email you 30 days before. On that date the page shows "Frozen at" with the date and keeps the report as it was; nothing is deleted. Publishing a new version puts it on the permalink with a new date.

When the plan renews

A plan renews only if you ticked the renewal box on the Billing page. We email you 30 days before the renewal date; untick the box before then and nothing renews. A renewal keeps nightly replays running and changes nothing on the public page.

When the plan lapses

Without the renewal box ticked, or after you cancel, the plan ends on its renewal date, and we email you. From then:

  • the page shows "Frozen at" with the date the plan ended, and keeps the report and its history;
  • nightly replays stop;
  • nothing is deleted, and the page is never a 404.

When you withdraw a version

On the Public page screen, choose Withdraw on a version. Its address then shows a Withdrawn notice with the date, above the report as it was published. If another version is still live, the permalink shows that one, and the withdrawn version links to it. Choose Restore to put a withdrawn version back.
